What I Actually Wear Most Days: Comfortable Style That Still Feels Put Together

My go-to outfits are always comfortable, cute, and lightweight enough for the Florida sunshine.

Comfort wins over pretty much everything for me, so if you’re looking for a fashion diva, you’re already on the wrong blog. 😂 I’m just a mom who likes to be comfortable while still looking somewhat put together.

Free People Favorites

My number-one go-to — and something I own in almost every color — is the Free People Riley Set. It is literally comfort at its peak. My only complaint is the amount of polyester in the fabric. I try to be mindful of the materials in my clothing when I can, but this is one set I just can’t resist.

Another Free People favorite is the Hot Shot Crossover Set, along with the Hot Shot Onesie. Both are ridiculously comfortable and made with 95% cotton, which I love. Again, I own multiple colors because when I find something that works, apparently I really commit. 😂 They’re the kind of pieces I can pull out of my closet without even thinking about it.

Three Bird Nest Pants I Live In

Some of the pants I get the most compliments on are actually from Three Bird Nest. My favorites are the Game On Cargo, The Nest Cargo Cascade, Relaxing Robin Wide Leg, and Lucky One Wide Leg pants.

They come in everything from easy neutrals to fun brighter colors, and they’re incredibly comfortable while still looking like you actually put an outfit together. Throw on a cute T-shirt and you’re done.

When I’m Keeping It Really Simple

If I’m not wearing one of those outfits, give me biker shorts and an oversized T-shirt and I’m perfectly happy.

Before being pregnant again, a good pair of jeans was another staple. Jeans with practically any top can make an easy outfit without requiring much thought, which is pretty much my ideal formula.

My Recent Splurge

Recently, I invested in a pair of Lunya pants, and I genuinely don’t know how to describe the level of softness and comfort they possess.

They were definitely an investment, but they’re one of those purchases where I immediately understood why they cost more. I already know another pair will eventually make its way into my closet.

The Basics Underneath It All

When it comes to underwear, I pretty much exclusively wear Huha.

For bras, I’m firmly a no-wire girl. Most days I wear simple Hanes 100% cotton spaghetti-strap bras or my Huha triangle bra. Nothing exciting here — just comfortable basics that do their job.

And Shoes? Keep It Simple.

I’d be lying if I pretended I were a shoe girl.

Nine times out of ten, I’m wearing my tried-and-true Birkenstock sandals. If I’m going for a walk or heading to the gym, I reach for my Hokas.

That’s pretty much the entire shoe rotation. 😂

Quality Over Quantity

If you haven’t figured it out by now, I like to keep things simple in most areas of my life.

I really believe in quality over quantity, so some of my staple pieces are on the pricier side. I’d rather slowly save for something I genuinely love, wear constantly, and expect to last than continually replace cheaper pieces that never quite become favorites.

I think slowly building a wardrobe full of quality pieces you truly reach for is such a worthwhile investment. It doesn’t have to happen all at once — and it definitely doesn’t have to look like anyone else’s version of a “capsule wardrobe.”

Mine just happens to include a lot of flowy pants, matching sets, Birkenstocks, and an unreasonable number of colors of the same outfit. 😂
